Formerly, SMK Negeri 1 Ciamis had another name. It was SMEA Negeri Ciamis which was located in Jalan Ir. H. Juanda No. 35/304 Ciamis.
Consisted of 13 rooms standing on the land with ifs width of 0,279 H. If was first used
for Sikuraja Elementary School. The land was gained from the regent of Daswati II Ciamis
through the Letter of Delivery No. 6453/B.VI/Pem.69 the date December 29th, 1969.
Meanwhile the building itself was a gift from the Territory Government of Daswati II
Ciamis and a part of it from the Project of Culture and Education Department for about
three spaces. On August 20th, 1960 stood the preparation of SMEA with its
status as a private school which the license from Government of Daswati II Ciamis. To
comply with a request who are willing to continue it's studi to the Vocational Economic
Department, it's necessary to be opened SMEA Negeri 1 Ciamis.
Base on the Proposal of Inspectorat Chief Economic Education No. 213/II/4604 on July 30,
1964, so at Ciamis stood officially SMEA Negeri Ciamis with Letter of Decision from the
Culture and Education Ministry RI No. 326/B.3/Kedj August 10th, 1964.
According to the requarement about accelarating the quality of education inf the year 1989
SMEA Negeri 1 Ciamis got some aid for building through donation Loan ADB Voced II with
location for the building itself on Jl. Jenderal Sudirman No. 269 phone 62-265-771204
Ciamis.
For the old location, the use of it was submitted to the chief of Culture Education
Department Ciamis Regency.
